This passport wallet is made from US sourced ‘No. 8 Brown’ or black Chromexcel Horween leather, or British veg tan leather which will take on a great patina with wear.
€80.00 – €95.00 Inc. VAT where appropriate.
Description: The Passport Wallet is perfect to keep all your travel documents in one place.
Features: The wallet has a compartment designed to hold your passport on one side and four pockets on the other to hold folded documents, notes, and credit cards.
Construction: It’s made completely by hand without the use of any sewing machines. The pattern is hand cut with a sharp blade and hand stitched with waxed thread.
Materials: It is made from either UK-sourced ‘Oily’ vegetable tanned shoulders, which has a firm and rigid feel to start with, or from brown or black American Horween Chromexcel leather. The veg tan leather will soften and darken nicely with use, and because it’s un-dyed it will take on some of the precious indigo from your jeans. All General Made use Julius Koch Ritza thread, which is regarded as some of the finest hand stitching thread for both appearance and durability. The edges are burnished by hand to give a nice clean finish.
Maintenance: The leather doesn’t need much maintenance but should you wish, we recommend using Mink Oil every now and then to keep the leather healthy. With un-dyed veg tan leather, the marks and scars the cow had in life are visible, making each wallet unique.
Made in: Each item is made in the home/workshop of founders Jamie and Anna in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Size: When folded, the wallet measures approximately 4” x 5.5” (10.2 cm x 14 cm).
Special delivery: Please note that this item is made to order with a manufacturing time of 3-5 days from the time you place your order.

Here at Denimhunters, we love natural, vegetable tanned leather’s ability to age and grow with the owner, much like raw denim.
Below are a couple of tips and tricks to get you started safely on the break-in process.
Leave the leather product out in the sun for as long as possible, whenever possible. The sun naturally darkens the leather and brings out its full beauty.
To achieve a honey tone to the leather, treat it with beeswax and let it sit in the sunlight. For a deeper tone, use Red Wing boot oil and leave it in the sun.
Wear your naturally tanned leather product with your raw denim. The leather will soak up indigo from your raw denim jeans. It will first be a beautiful indigo blue and over time and use will darken with the leather. The result is breathtaking.
