Look: The Harald is Livid’s take on a classic straight fit jean. It has become a favourite among those who like to the quintessential jean, but it equally works well when worn as a relaxed looser fit.
Fit: Like any straight fit jean should be, the Harald is slightly curved in the seat to get that roomy anti-fit top block. The rise is relatively low and the straight leg tapers a little bit from the knee down.
Construction: Staying true to the Livid spirit, the Harald Japan Heavy is crafted on non-automated machines and made mainly with a single needle lock stitch construction throughout, including at the hems.
Trim: The trim includes a vegetable tanned leather patch; pocket bags made from 8 oz. ecru canvas, which is also used as reinforcement of the coin pocket and back pockets; YKK two-prong tack copper four-button fly; YKK solid copper washer-burr rivets; and poly/cotton thread.
Fabric: The 19 oz. sanforized 100% cotton RHT selvedge denim is the heaviest Livid offers. It’s rope dyed and weaved by Kurabo Mills in Japan. The heavy yet soft denim works perfect with the straight fit of the Harald.
Made in: As part of the Made in Norway line, the Harald Japan Heavy is cut, sewn, and finished at Livid’s factory in Trondheim with only two sets of hands.
