Look: This is where it all started for Livid Jeans; the Jakob is the first fit in their range. Founder Jens-Olav Dankertsen spent months developing the fit, which he based on three of his friends with three very different body shapes.
Fit: The Jakob is a slim straight fit with a mid-rise and a slightly lowered yoke and relatively narrow back pocket, which completely the look.
Construction: The jeans are crafted on non-automated machines and made mainly with a single needle lock stitch construction throughout, including at the hems.
Fabric: The sanforized fabric is a 19 oz. 100% cotton rope dyed RHT selvedge denim made by Kurabo Mills in Japan. Although the denim is at the heavy end of the spectrum, it’s surprisingly soft.
Trim: The trim includes a vegetable tanned leather patch; pocket bags made from 8 oz. ecru canvas, which is also used as reinforcement of the coin pocket and back pockets; YKK two-prong tack copper four-button fly; YKK solid copper washer-burr rivets; and poly/cotton thread.
Made in: The Jakob Japan Heavy is cut, sewn, and finished at Livid’s Trondheim factory with only two sets of hands.
Special delivery: Please note that these jeans are made to order with a manufacturing time currently of 10-12 weeks from the time you place your order.
