G-Star Elwood

G-Star’s defining, signature jean that was designed in 1996 by the company’s head designer, Pierre Morrisset. The design of the Elwood was inspired by the pants of a rain-soaked motorcyclist, which is reflected in the added kneepads.

It was the very first three-dimensional denim design to follow the contours of the body, resulting in slightly inward bent trouser legs.
