BDD New Release: Something for the Summer Sir?

BDD B-01 SLIM 12 oz. steel blue selvedge

Benzak Denim Developers, BDD, set us up for summer with their B-01 SLIM 12 oz. steel blue selvedge

Spring has officially sprung, the clocks have gone back and, at least for those of us living in more Northern climes, we are really looking forward to some warmer temperatures.

Hot and Bothered

For those of us who choose to clad our legs in raw denim, this poses a bit of a problem. Things can get a little hot and sweaty downstairs. Benzak has the solution with the newly released B-01 SLIM 12 oz. steel blue selvedge.

Coming in at 12 oz. this is the perfect jean for Spring/Summer. As Lennaert Nijgh, founder of Benzak Denim Developers puts it:

“This is our version of a Summer short.”

The jeans also have a distinct summer vibe owing to the lighter, steel blue colour. With the relatively low denim weight, combined with the lighter colour, it will be really interesting to see what kind of fades develop.

Let’s delve into the details:

  • Slim fit
  • 12 oz. steel blue selvedge denim from Candiani (Italy)
  • 100% cotton, right-hand twill
  • Cotton origin: Greece (47%), Ivory Coast (35% – BCI cotton), India (18%)
  • Sanforized
  • Hidden 6th pocket
  • Genuine cow leather patch (Italy)
  • Heavy duty stitching (cotton-poly core-spun)
  • Button fly
  • Made in Portugal

So, for those of us who want to be a little less hot and bothered during the summer, whilst still working on some sick fades. Here’s the solution! The jeans are available through Benzak’s website, and for those of us who are still hardcore, check out the Made in Japan collection from Benzak Denim Developers over on the Rope Dye Webstore.
